Is Amalfi Coast expensive to visit?

What to see in Naples and Amalfi Coast

By boat: it was the way we used. The boats are quite punctual, fast and there is a wide range of lines and schedules. They also give us incredible views of the villages from the water. We recommend you to do at least one section.    To buy tickets just go to the ports and buy them right there, 10 minutes before. There is no inconvenience for the space, as they are large. The agency we used was travelmar. Another large agency is alicost, which you can use to go to Capri as well.

If we had had another day, we would have gone to Sorrento and the island of Capri. On my first trip to Italy I visited Sorrento and fell in love with this city. I never had the chance to visit Capri, so I will have to do it next time.

Regarding the sweets, we did not have time to try everything we wanted, there are many delicious things! Our recommendation is not to miss the typical dessert “delizia al limone”.

Therefore, luxury vacations and expenses that can be afforded by those who do not care how much their vacations cost are excluded. In fact, what I am going to develop is intended to provide information to families – couples – young people with a medium level budget who are looking for a 3/4 star hotel or a holiday apartment in Amalfi and eat at the restaurant at least once a day.

This is a calculation I make only for the summer months, the months with many tourists. For other months, the calculation is easy: take into account the value indicated for the 3 star hotel or the vacation home and multiply it by 7.

IN JUNE TWO PEOPLE ON HOLIDAY IN AMALFI WILL SPEND A MINIMUM OF 1925 euros (490 for restaurants + 105 for beaches + 420 miscellaneous + 910 for a double hotel room) and a MAXIMUM of 2735 euros (700 for restaurants + 175 for beaches + 600 for miscellaneous + 1260 for hotel);

IN JULY BETWEEN A MINIMUM OF 1925 (490 for restaurants + 105 for beaches + 420 miscellaneous + 910 for a hotel room) AND A MAXIMUM OF 4555 EURO (700 for restaurants + 175 for beaches + 600 for miscellaneous + 910 for hotel or apartment);

We have a very efficient ferry system that we usually call: “metro of the sea”. By ferry it is possible to see all the places of the Amalfi coast and it is sure that this is the most comfortable and also the most fascinating way to visit this amazing coast (by car it is very, very difficult and more expensive).

Sorrento has a wider offer of accommodation than Positano, the access from Naples is easy because you can reach it by train with the Circumvesuviana line and it is a beautiful city. Naples coast

We have done a 7 day tour of the Naples area and the Amalfi Coast. Most of the places we have been are quite expensive, especially islands like Capri and the towns of the Amalfi Coast. If you plan to travel to this part of Italy we tell you in this post our budget of Naples and Amalfi Coast in 6 days.

As in all destinations will depend on your tastes and needs, how far in advance you book everything, if you make excursions, how you move, accommodation and meals … Every trip and every traveler is different and we are going to tell you what our route has cost us. We have traveled at Easter and it is possible that the prices are higher than in the low season.

We rented a car on the Europcar website for the Amalfi Coast part, which was 3 days. We picked it up at the port of Naples and dropped it off at the airport. Doing it this way was a bit more expensive than picking it up and dropping it off at the same place.
