Positano italia mapa

What is Positano famous for?

The main tourist attraction to see in Positano are its streets, narrow and beautiful alleys dotted with pretty stores selling handicrafts, soaps and limoncello. One of the most beautiful streets is the one that goes down from Piazza dei Mulini to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.

Positano is beautiful, but there are things to keep in mind. It is not recommended for people with walking difficulties. To get to the beach, you have to walk down a very picturesque and undulating little street, but then you have to walk up it! There are also stairs, but I didn’t see them.

Hi Adriana, how are you, I am planning to go from Rome, the first five days of July 2016 to Positano and from there see the Amalfi coast making base there for its views. I am trying to get a place at Pensione Maria Luisa, Via Fornillo 42. Before that I plan to spend three days in cinque terre, Liguria AND then go back to tour two days in Rome.

Hi, what a beautiful trip! On the Amalfi coast you can get around by bus, boat or car. I do not recommend the car to drive along the coast road, because it is very winding and narrow, and you will have to pay so much attention to the road that you will miss the scenery! The bus or bus as they say there, is more economical, it takes longer than the boat but the journey is already a walk, (always sit on the sea side).
