If these tests are successful, Nanogen Biopharmaceutical could produce some 30 million doses of the vaccine annually, with the possibility of expanding this figure. The development of this product is part of the Southeast Asian nation’s strategy to tackle the coronavirus pandemic and immunize its population of more than 96 million.
At the same time, Vietnamese health authorities have coordinated with Russia and the United Kingdom to purchase vaccines developed by these countries, while they intend to cooperate in the development of European immunizers. Vietnam is one of 38 countries with a vaccine quality management system that meets World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
