After evaluating the needs and problems of each District Attorney’s Office, as well as the experience of the incumbents, the State Attorney General, Roberto Javier Fierro Duarte, made the appointment of the State Prosecutors.
Carlos Mario Jiménez Holguín has been ratified as District Prosecutor of the Central Zone for the time being. He joined the State Attorney General’s Office in 2010. He has been specialized prosecutor in Investigation and Prosecution of Crime in the Central Zone and Deputy Prosecutor of Justice in the Central Zone in the Oral Accusatory System.
The State Attorney General, Roberto Javier Fierro Duarte, instructed the District Prosecutors to maintain team work, mainly in the fight against the generators of violence in the state.

In the District Attorney’s Office of Puno we currently have Criminal, Civil and Family Prosecutor’s Offices, as well as Crime Prevention and Specialized Prosecutor’s Offices for the investigation of crimes of Illicit Drug Trafficking, Corruption of Officials, Organized Crime, Human Trafficking, Customs and Intellectual Property Crimes, and the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Money Laundering and Loss of Ownership. These offices are open 24 hours a day and respond to any criminal event that occurs.
