Although never approved for use during pregnancy, Zofran is currently the best-selling morning sickness medication in the United States. Zofran was developed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and approved by the FDA in 1991 to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and radiation therapy. GSK also promoted the unauthorized use of the drug to treat morning sickness in pregnant women, for which it recently paid civil penalties.

Use of Zofran during the first 10 weeks of pregnancy has been linked to the development of congenital heart malformations and cleft lip and palate deformities. More than 500 families have filed lawsuits against GlaxoSmithKline, the manufacturer of Zofran. Contact us today for a free case evaluation.

The Taxotere® lawsuits claim that the manufacturer of Taxotere (Sanofi-Aventis) failed to warn patients and doctors about the increased risks of permanent alopecia (hair loss). Taxotere® is a chemotherapy drug prescribed primarily for the treatment of breast cancer. One of the side effects faced by patients treated with Taxotere® is permanent hair loss, a side effect that patients were never warned about. Sanofi-Aventis manufactured Taxotere®, an anticancer chemotherapy drug approved for the treatment of breast cancer by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1996. Recent studies have shown that approximately 9% of breast cancer patients prescribed and taking Taxotere suffered permanent alopecia for up to a decade or more.
