The Joint Monitoring Programme for Water Supply (JMP) has a formal mandate to monitor global progress on targets 6.1 (drinking water) and 6.2 (sanitation and hygiene). This will require the collection and reporting of data from households, schools, HE and other settings. In addition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in health facilities are important for achieving several SDG 3 (health for all) targets.
