The updated EOS C500 Mark II will now be able to record in 4:3 and 6:5 formats/resolution, while the camera is set to Full Frame sensor mode in Cinema RAW Lightiii. Previously offering only 2x or 1.33x image decompression options, the EOS C500 Mark II and EOS C300 Mark III will now be available with a 1.8x decompression option, allowing users to choose from a wider range of anamorphic lenses. These upgrades provide additional opportunities for film professionals to enhance their creativity by being able to bring a new anamorphic look to their productions, improve workflow when using various anamorphic formats, and allow them to take full advantage of the EOS C500 Mark II’s large, high-resolution sensor.
In addition, when shooting RAW at 5.9K or 4K/UHD internally, 2K and FHD output is now compatible with the 12G-SDIiv connection, enabling greater compatibility with external HD monitors. Simultaneous monitor and HDMI output will also be available on both cameras, increasing monitoring flexibility.

The distortion control data firmware update is only available for Nikon D90 and D5000 cameras. It is used to correct barrel and aceric distortion during shooting and editing. This can be loaded on cameras that support distortion control.
The corrections applied are noticeable, if you see the before and after, but unless you see them on top of each other, or have an image of something like a brick wall, it is generally very difficult to see distortion in most images, apart from very wide angle lenses.
